As a part of First Fruit Haiti, we have reconstructed a feeding program for the children in our kindergarten through 6th grade non­-profit school in Delmas, Haiti. Most children in our schools go the whole school day without getting a meal which greatly hinders their ability to learn. The feeding program provides a good meal for the children during break time at school each day. This healthy meal will include grains such as rice or pasta, protein from meat or beans, and vegetables. All the vegetables will be provided from our farm, Haiti Garden. 

     In order to provide daily meals for children, we are in need of financial partners. The financial contributions will provide a means for buying the food, paying for cooks and paying for utilities. ​

     In the past there has only been one sponsor at a time with a greater financial donation. Now we are trying a new equation and are looking to have a larger number of supporters with smaller monthly donations from each of them in order to be stable. With only one donor at a time, there isn’t as much consistency. For example, our sponsor died in 2008 and the children went without food.

     In order to provide 100 meals for 100 children at the school all 20 school days of the month, it is an average of a $1 per meal, leading to an overall total of $2,000 a month. As our farm is contributing roughly 40% of this total by providing vegetables, we are looking for a total of $1,200 donated to this ministry each month.

Some of the ways we encourage monthly donations are:
    -$20 a month to sponsor all the meals for a child
    -$40 a month to sponsor all the meals for two children
